The NSPCC’s Childline service expect to get a call from a child every 25 seconds this Christmas.
There are calls about abuse, about neglect, about self-harm and anxiety –about things no child should have to deal with. And then there are the calls on Christmas Day. Calls from children, asking for help on what should be the most magical day of the year. The day children should feel happy and safe. Not scared, traumatised and with no one else to turn to.
On Christmas Day and every day this winter, the NSPCC will be here for all children who need us.
But we can’t do it alone.
This Christmas, please don’t let a child’s call for help go unanswered. Help us be here for all children.
Here are a couple of quotes too.
‘I want to thank Childline for saving my life.’
‘I’m so grateful to Childline for listening to me.’
